Guthrie sponsored Missing Children’s Assistance Reauthorization Act signed into law

September 30, 2013

The Missing Children’s Assistance Reauthorization Act (H.R. 3092) to fund the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was signed into law today. Rep. Brett Guthrie (KY02) sponsored the legislation.

Rep. Guthrie said, “I am pleased to introduce this important bill to ensure the critical work on behalf of America’s missing and exploited children continues. This legislation is essential to ensure that coordination of state and local law enforcement efforts in identifying, locating and recovering missing, abducted and sexually exploited children continues. As a father of three, I am glad this law is in place and call on my colleagues to fast-track this legislation so we can ensure it is reauthorized before the current law expires.”
